I have an out of warranty Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 that recently stopped responding to touch. Did a factory reset, and still no luck. Can't even select 'english' during initial config.
I've tried everything I can software related. Not going to flash a new rom as I doubt the factory rom is corrupt.
I had been playing a lot of Boom Beach lately, and it was left on the charger for a while. Went to play the game and touch screen just wouldn't respond.
The tablet has otherwise worked great. Bummed it's not working, but it looks like a new digitizer is only $20 on ebay. Considering I wouldn't need a 'better' tablet and just want this one to work, is it worth throwing $20 on a tablet that I could potentially get off ebay for $70?
I guess I'm just wanting to know if the digitizer failing is the obvious problem. Seems to be the cause in any other case I've found of the touch screen failing on these.
