I just received what I thought was a fairly major update on my galaxy s3 last night via the at&T update. Is there any way to check what was updated? I was hoping it would be jelly bean but it seems I still have 4.0.4.

I did some digging and it looks like it has some minor usability upgrades like:
-Brightness slider directly in the pull down list
-Extra options for sound volume
-Apparently it includes VPN support
-I could be wrong but I think there've been changes to the standard web browser

I just found a thread about the new update. Seems it's just for AT&T right now. Short of JB, this seems like a fairly decent update. There seem to be reports that it's improved bandwidth...

Yeah like I said in another thread I'd be all over a custom rom except the Good for Enterprise app I use for work doesn't work on a rooted device.

I don't know if it is a company thing but I use Good and it works fine on a rooted device. Is it corporate policy or something technical?

Reading online indicates that it's corporate policy :( there seem to be some convoluted ways to get around it but none of them seem to be reliable.

Yeah, you can block rooted/jail broken devices through Good.

I'm not sure what the point is other than being a dick IT Dept, but thems the breaks.
