This Limited Warranty covers batteries only if battery capacity falls below 80% of rated capacity or the battery leaks, and this Limited Warranty does not cover any battery if (i) the battery has been charged by a battery charger not specified or approved by SAMSUNG for charging the battery; (ii) any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering; or (iii) the battery has been used in equipment other than the SAMSUNG phone for which it is specified.

Short answer: call (or take it to the store) and ask if yours qualifies for warranty service.

You can always buy another battery to see if that helps? They are not that expensive.
I got pretty good battery life on the Nexus I just sold(got a GS3). I was running a custom rom & kernel though. I averaged 12-14 hours with a little over 2 hours screen time.

This is my extended battery. Ill throw in my original battery to see if it helps.

Ouch that sucks. I bet you can get a replacement. Customer service is usually good on doing cheap things, like replacing your battery, to keep people happy.

I've noticed the same recently. Battery life has turned to shit. The one thing common that I see is endomondo other than android itself. Could that be the culprit?

I had to rotate between 3 batteries when on the go with my VZW GNex and at work it pretty much had to stay plugged in all day. Truly annoying but it has to be a phone with one of the worst battery life stats I've ever owned.

Yeah, mine has to be plugged in almost constantly these days though I am a power user. Constant Exchange use appears to tank the battery already, then add some messaging, lots of screen time and...mine barely lasts a few hours off charge too. Normal battery - never bought an extended one.

Unless you're streaming Netflix all day every day, that sounds like a bad unit. My Nexus always lasted me through the day until I got home. And that's without any crazy battery saving techniques.

That or there's just something different about your area or usage. My friend at Google with a Google issued VZW GN can't get through 2pm without it dying. Same with my coworkers. It's terrible from what I see. The HSPA+ version on the other hand does much better.

Unless you had the screen on the *entire* time, something is very broken.

Either that or you've discovered a new dead signal zone that's sucking all your juice.
