What the heck, I'll take a chance on it. Shipping was a little high at $8, but I have a mobo with a broken center lug on the socket...the clip on that one engages all the lugs, so it should work fine.

I've purchased from them a few times. Good company, based on my experience. Good prices, quick shipping. Shipping might be a tad on the high side, but usually not much over actually cost.

Looks to me like there would be no problem, but can anyone confirm that the GC21 will work okay on a K7S5A board with an AMD 900MHz Thunderbird CPU?

Also, is it pretty much a consensus that Arctic Silver III compound is the best way to go?

Thanks very much.

<dunno how shipping is at this place, but SVC also has this for $4.99 w/ very reasonable shipping.>

Nets out about $3.50 cheaper for me to order from SVC than Nexfan even though I am in VA, SVC is in CA and Nexfan is in PA. One GC21 and 1 tube Arctic Silver III from Nexfan shipped UPS is $18.52. Same thing from SVC shipped first class mail is $14.97.

As soon as I can get confirmation that the GC21 will in fact work on my K7S5A/AMD 900MHz Thunderbird will be ordering from SVC.

Thanks to all for the good info.

Dang! SVC ships FAST!

Ordered a GC21 and a tube of Arctic Silver III from them this PM for a total of $14.97 including first class mail shipping and exactly 1 hour and 50 minutes after placing the order received notification that it had shipped.

Should have it by Monday I would guess...
