So here is the problem: (cut and pasted from corsair forum)
Hi guys I recently bought from newegg 2 x 512mb PC3200 DDR Corsair ValueSelect Ram modules as a 1gb kit.... I currently have 2 x 256mb kingston PC2700 DDR and 1 x 512mb kingston pc2700 DDR for a total of 1gb using all my three DDR slots on the motherboard. I bought the ram this past week and basically tried to put both modules in, however they both only work in DDR slot 1 but refuse to work in DDR slot two or three, which is kind of irratating since I don't want to go back to running 512mb again, any help could be appreciated, thanks
I have done a search on the forum for additional topics but nothing that relates to this, have also emailed my motherboard manufacturer for help, hopefully they will get back to me soon
Another note, when I both 512mb Corsair in, the computer powers up but there are some short continous sounds identified in my mobo manual as "dram error" I know both modules are good since they both run in ddr slot 1?
