Hey folks, I've just ordered this gfx:

http://www.gainward.de/media/f...GS_512MB_datasheet.pdf

It requires an 8-pin power connector - could this possibly result in higher achieveable clocks?

And what exactly does the 0.8ns on the vram refer to? Is there less latency on the ram or what?

I'm hoping that it'll be oc-friendly :), I got for 15 bucks more than the cheapest reference hd 4850 in my country.

This has to do with the max speed the memory can run at. There is a formula that somebody will post to know exactly the max spped of the memory. The lower the value to higher the memory speed. Probably maxes out around 1200MHz*2=2400MHz. Looks like a good card.

Cool, I suppose the biggest bottleneck on a hd 4850 is bandwidth, so that should help out :)

Still wondering whether the 8-pin connector makes any difference.
