well, before i was allwas buying the top of the line graphic card, wasting all kind of money o that. And you know, what, i have never turned on AA. I would rather have better FPS count then a little edge on my caracters

You aren't buying anywhere near the top of the line graphics card today. You've been given preety good advice, and it would be a shame to waste it.

Well, in that case, a GTS 250 512MB will be fine, its a card which doesn't have a benefit of having a big 1GB frame buffer.

You seem to have made up your mind pretty strongly since you keep telling the people you asked for help that their advice is wrong 😕. If you're truly dead-set on one of those two cards then I'd go with XFX since their warranty is better. Just don't forget to register it as soon as you receive it.

well no, i didn't make my mind, im just responding realistic. Ok, lets put it this way...this is for everyone that has GTS 250 with 512 MB. Since were are debating the 512 vs 1GB, can someone tell me (with 512 mb model) do you have problems running your games in high graphic mode? (and no, i not thinking about Crysis and GTA4, but everything else)


another thing, i understand that hardware in US, or UK has lower prices then here, i mean, for a price of ASUS GTX260 (newegg) i can have XFX GTS 250 in Croatia. So, GTX 260 , or 4870 with anything better then reference cooler is expensive (around $270)

oh and one more thing, if we compare GTS 250 and 4870, how much more average percentage is 4870 gets in games?

a 4870 is closer to a GTX280/275 than it is to a GTS250.

A 4870 is roughly equal to two GTS 250s in SLI, give or take a tad.
