Saw this GF4 Ti4200 128MB on Fry's Sunday ad. It's not the Golden Sample version, but still a pretty good deal.

I bought one from the Campbell location. Need to upgrade my GF2 GTS with a DVI capable video card to take advantage of the DVI capability of my Dell 2000FP LCD. I got the last new box in Campbell. But there are still a couple of returned boxes.

How does it work with the Dell 2000FP? I just bought the Gainward at the Sunnyvale Fry's (they have a ton left) and I'll soon be ordering a 2000FP (next time it's on sale). Does it properly support 1600x1200 in DVI?

Thanks.

Works great with the 2000FP at 1600x1200@60Hz with 32bit color depth. This is the optimal resolution for the 2000FP according to documentation. Before hooking up the Ti4200, I was using analog mode and I thought that was nice already. But DVI mode looks even better. I love this LCD.

Excellent. Now if Dell would have another decent sale on their LCDs, I'll be set!

To stay on topic, I got the Gainward 4200 installed, and it seems great. Not too loud (no more noise than the GF3 it replaced) and it looks like a well made card. For $99 after rebate, it's a hot deal.

Default clock is 250/512 - I havn't tried OC yet.

Picked up one of these from the new Irving store yesterday to replace a PNY 64 meg GeForce3 fX440 card...3DMark 2001 score went up 4000 points at stock settings!!! 😎

Got my rebate today, a new record for a "Fry's rebate". It came on a handwritten check from Gainward.
