Gainward GF4 750XP Golden Sample Dual monitor question

I was reading the gamepc rev on this card and it says that the 2 DVI ports aren't the same and only one can do 1600x1200 and 2048x1536. Can anyone else confirm this? And if so, is there a driver solution to allow dual 1600x1200 and 2048x1536, im planning to get a 2nd 21" soon and i realy don't want to be stuck in 1280x1024.

I don't think there is an answer out there yet. The Gainward card is the only Ti4600 card that has dual DVI if I remember correctly. The GF4 line was just released so I don't think folks have had time to come up with creative solutions to such problems.

The gamepc review also mentions that they weren't sure if it was a hardware implementation issue or a problem with nView. I'd recommend you send an email to Gainward Tech Support with a link to the article and ask them about it.

Got my Gainward ti4600 today from Newegg! Took out my Matrox G550 and replaced it!

I had problems with Pivot Pro 6.01 working with 1024x1280 (90 degrees off 1024x1280)... but upgrading to Pivot Pro 6.04 fixed it!

I now have 2048x1280 (if I'm not confusing my numbers <grin>). Both displays on DVI!

Thanks to fellow Anandtech members who helped me track down the Gainward.
