Gainward GF3 Ti200 GS Problem

The fan on my video card has stopped working. I shut my PC off for a weekend and now when I turned it back on it isn't spinning at all. I've checked the connections and it looks right. What should I do? Should I leave the PC off? Is my card wasted now? Thanks! I REALLY REALLY appreciate the help!!

i think u might be fine...i have a old gf 3 ti with a rather stingy passive heat sink on it.....but it was runnning stock speeds of 175/200,u have a gainward so likely its already oc'd, but u sshud have a decent heatsink on it u mite be alright if u have good airflow

Sounds like your fan finally just went out.

You could downclock the core to about 175 and it'll be okay, or use a "spare card" in the meantime until you get a replacement fan/cooler/card. To me, that would be a great excuse to splurge on something newer.

any guesses to how long it will operate before it completely dies? Thanks!

Your card? With the heatsink still attached, it'll work - it'll just probably hardlock the system if you try to run any 3D games (thus heating up the core) I'd downclock to at most 175MHz to make sure it survives 2D just fine - maybe even lower if you plan on staying out of gaming for the time being.
