anything over 34 is loud..

But is this measured with an open case or not?
It says "the noise of fan only has 40db" on Gainwards site.

40dB is ok imo, i've got a fairly thick case in my system and would probably not be bothered
by this card.
But maybe they measured the decibel with the case on (and maybe it was a very silent case)!
Who knows?

Now I noticed under the features of the card section " Supporting 128MB high-speed 256bit DDR II RAM memory " is this another Gainward misprint? If not it will waste the radeon 9800. I am a gainward fan even if they don't write English very well.

lol, ya 256bit memeory i supose it could have some how, but seeing as how the nv30 only supports a 128bit memory bus, it wont do any good. 😉

ohh and 40db, that must have been one thumper of a human heartbeat they were refering to when they originaly anounced the product. 😀

Gainward is supposedly going to put a watercooled version on the market. They have pics of the prototype here. Maybe it will be 256mb also. Since the radeon 9800 256mb comes out in april.
