Gainward G3 Ti 450 - Any Need to Upgrade??

I have a 64 Meg Gainward GeForce Golden Sam Ti/450 which is now a few years old.

The rest of my system :

Pentium 2.4C OcC'd to 3.0
1 Gig Corsair memory
Abit IC7G MB

I game a little ( UT 2003/2004; Half Life; Quake III) - but am not deep into gaming.

Question any real noticeable benefit in upgrading to say an ATI AIW 9800 card ??

Thanks

Depends on what games you acquire ..... if you play HL, you owe it to yourself to buy HL2 ... its the best game I've played in ages. The only motivating factor to a vid card upgrade is buying a new game that does not effectively run the game to your desired level of play. As everyone knows, one guys 20 frames per second could be playable to him, but absolutely a slideshow to another gamer, so only you can determine that level of performance. I'd recommend a 6600GT over a 9800 AIW, assuming they are both around $220 (unless you want to take advatage of the AIW VIVO features).
