I'd never heard of them before, and now they have some rockin' GF3 prices for these cards...however, I've noticed a few things...the main one being that the descrptions don't sem to tell what ns the memory is ratd for.

So, anyone know if these cards are any good, or are they another eVGA?

Can't say anything about Gainward, but I'd recommend Visiontek. Their cards are about $5 more than Gainward and they are much nice :)

In the seven way Geforce3 shootout the Gainward card oc'ed the best plus it's red. Their geforce 2 cards were some of the best and they almost got sued by Nvidia for putting faster memory on one type of their geforce2 cards. Now it's all good though and I have heard some good things about their g3 cards. Check out the g3 seven way shootout here... 7 way Geforce3 Shootout at Game PC

HansXP: I know, I own an ELSA GF2, built a machine w/ a GF2U, and have had 0 problems with them or MSI ones (notice what my card recommendations tend to be).

Yakkum: thanks, I'm going there now (NT 4 w/ 48MB on this laptop...it is still going, even w/ a T1 :)).

billyzbear: w/ the det 6.50 drivers? I'd had no problems with them. slight performance gains w/ 7.58 and a couple others, but also unwanted hassles. Also helps to reformat.

I own a gainward and it is working xcellent!
Clockable, stable and providing the goods cheaper than any other... what else could you ask for? Oh it comes in red too? Well that should say it.
