Has anyone dealt with Gainward customer service for an RMA lately? Their USA site says they've moved their warranty service to Gainward Taiwan, but then says "Need RMA service, please click "support" button at main menu and fill up the request form, then Gainward Taiwan will issue you a RMA number and provide the RMA service." I assume this means click support on the current/USA Web site? I went ahead and submitted an RMA on www.gainwardusa.com's "Support" menu, so I guess I'll have to wait and see. What's even more odd is that this same Web site also says that if you need technical support, visit www.gainward.com, which forwards you to their German site. WTF?

Just wanted to bump this back up to see if anyone else has done a Gainward RMA recently - ever since they stopped doing RMAs in the US. I'm about to start a Gainward RMA myself so I guess I'll find out what the process consists of now.

I had done an RMA before with them, but back when they were still doing it from their US office. I live nearby so it was relatively painless to drop the card off and pick up a new one.

My Golden Sample MX 440 is dying, so I might be in this same situation very soon as well. Anyone actually in the RMA process right now, please keep us updated! :)

You can probably get a better card for less than the cost of shipping it back to 'em.

Considering the fact that they haven't made this card for several years (I think), I might get lucky and get them to send me a better card for the cost of shipping. :p

Anyway, just to be obnoxious, I'm very interested to know where I can get a better video card for the $10 it would cost me to ship the MX440 insured to Gainward, even if they did only send me back another identical item. ;) The equivalent 'current' model MX4000 still sells for $30-35 or more at Newegg...
