Gainward 5900xt 1100xp problems with games

Hi all,
I just purchased this gainward card last week. I've noticed that when I play games the video jumps or locks and i have to tab out of the game and back in to fix it. Does anyone know what could be doing this? I only have Nivdia drivers on my computer, no Radeon ones. Thanks!

It depends on what games you are talking about.

What video card did you replace? (thinking Radeon since you mentioned it)
Did you remove the DRIVERS COMPLETELY?

Did you re-setup the graphics properties in the games or
did you install the games after you install the video card?

What OS?

I replaced a geforce 2 ti with this card. I had the newest drivers (56.72) though, so I dont think it was a driver conflict. I installed the game after i installed the newest drivers. I noticed in Knights of the Old Republic(newest patch installed) that it stutters bad when I switch the graphics detail between 8x AA and 8 AF and 4xAA and 4AF. When I click CLOSE on the menu it freezes for sometime then the game is REALLY choppy. I noticed the video was out of sync once with the sound on True Crime streets of LA in a video cutscene. I just reinstalled windows xp with new drivers. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Let me know if you think of anything!
Thanks

Turns out the problem was with the games and not my system. Knights of the Old Repulic causes known problems with graphics if set above 1024X768 res. I set the game to this res and the problem went away. True Crime has also reported to be buggy as there is no patch yet for the game. Thanks for the help anyway guys!
