Gaining weight

clamum

Lifer
I wouldn't mind gaining about 30 lbs. Anyone have any experience gaining this much weight? Yeah I'm skinny! Heh 🙂

Suggested workouts and meals would be helpful. There's a student development complex on campus with a decent weight room so I can make use of that

Eat fudge brownies, drink whole fat milk, and get a job where you sit on your arse all day long. You should put on the weight no problem. No training required.

workout the big muscle groups: chest(bench press, flies), legs(squats, lunges), shoulders(military press)

work w/heavier weights and fewer reps per set(3-5 reps/set) and between 2 to 3 minutes in between sets. 7-9 sets per muscle group.

eat lots of protein: beef, chicken, fish

EDIT: to determine what weight to use, you should only just be able to complete the 3-5 reps. if you can do 5 increase the weight, if you can't do 3 decrease the weight.

***Here it your new regiment***

Wake up eat breakfast (Fast Food)
Eat lunch (Fast Food)
Go home and eat dinner (Fast Food)

Try not to move around very much.

Eat 3 slices of pizza before you go to sleep.

With that plan you should be well on your way to your goal!

LOL.

You want muscle, or fat?

If you want muscle, workout and troll bodybuilding forums.

Google is a friend!

Eat salads.

The girls in my office say they only eat salads and they weight 200+.

Apparently they are very fattening.

LOL! 😀 Or they'd weigh 300+ if they didn't eat them...

Some salads can be VERY fattening. Check out http://www.dwlz.com/restaurants.html (Dottie's Weight Loss Zone) for nutritional info for restaurants. It also has Weight Watchers points included. To give you an idea of how bad something is, think that the average person is supposed to have 24 points per day, or ~8 pts per meal.

Wendy's Chicken BLT "Salad" has 360 cal, 19g fat. Or 8 points.
Add Honey Mustand dressing, and you add an additional 280 cal, and 26g fat. Another 8 points.
16 of your 24 daily points on 1 salad. Hence, 200+ lbs.

you need a set plan for a diet and workout routine. eating more food really doesn't work by itself. one of my friends gained about 50 lbs in 2 years working out, went from ultra skinny to huge buff

I've been doing that for 2 years... I still weigh the same.
