Well, I broke my foot playing basketball and have had to wear a full leg cast for roughly 8 weeks. In that time, I gained probably 7lbs! Plus, I will be going to LA soon and I wanna get back into shape before surfing.

So, what should I do to lose weight. I am going to run a few miles everyday and work out again, but I need help with a good diet to help me lose about 7-10lbs in a short amount of time. Help!

You have two choices.

You can either maintain your current diet and burn more calories, or maintain your current daily routine and eat fewer calories.

Well, since I will start running and working out again, I think I should probably just take in less calories.

You should lose 7-10 in less than 2 weeks especially with exercise. Hell I just cut out hitting the snack machines at work and second helpings at dinner and have lost ~13Lbs in 3 weeks.

Don't worry... the other girls won't notice as long as your ass fits in your same jeans and your high heels look good.

how short is 'a short amount of time'.... starving yourself is always an option, but that diet plan can only be done for so long before its not healthy and needs to be replaced with a healthy diet plan
;)

try eating healthy, and exercising....
but 7lbs? i dont think i'd notice the difference in someone, unless they were 127lbs and now they're 120lbs and 5'9"

I only have a week and a few days..

That's my dilemma (sp?)

Update: Stepped on the scale - I officially gained 11lbs. I need to lose that in roughly a week. Keep in mind I'm not a very strong-willed person.

Should be enough time. Just don't starve your self . Drink water and cut out the cokes, do some running. It seems the first week is the easiest to lose a lot of weight. By the end of the diet your lucky to lose 1 lb a week but at the start 7lbs in a week and a few days should be doable.
