Anyone know if there is a way to trick your computer into thinking that this program is working correctly but somehow shut off the functionality. I would like to basically turn off this evil program and still keep the programs that are dependent on it. It just soaks up to much memory and is really rather bothersome.

Also I would prefer it if any fixes that come to the table are legal.
