Gaim Question

Thanks guys, Gaim does basically everything that I want, but I have one quick question.

I use the default font/size for messages (in AIM that's Times New Roman size 12 I'm pretty sure), but when I type on my computer the text is too small. Is there any way to make the text appear bigger on my computer (size 12 font) without affecting the size that I send out to other people (which, i tested, IS the size 12 font but it looks smaller on my computer)?
