Gaim having problems with MSN

i try to log onto MSN with gaim and it always hangs when trying to download my contact list. is this because i have no msn contact list?

i'm using .71, that isn't the issue. i can log into msn, and watch the msn client say that i've logged in from a different computer. gaim then tries to DL my contact list, which is nonexistant. it never finishes getting the list. so it can't be used.

have you tried adding contacts on a different computer?

Try adding someone to your MSN contact list and try again, sounds like a piss-poor workaround, but it might work ElFenix, you never know 🙂

yeah i figured i'd have to add contacts and the prob is that the list is empty.

edit: anyone have msn?
