OneCall has the Canon EOS D10 on sale for about $1400 with no payments/no interest for 6 months.

I really really really want it. I have an EOS A2 so all my lenses will fit.

Anyone want to buy a kidney?

Jeebus :Q I'll help you, give me like $1000 and then you'll have like $400 and you will feel better. I promise.

There's a potential for return on the investment though, just do like these guys: click

"In addition to an hourly fee, you will have the opportunity to learn videography and editing on state-of-the-art cameras and computers" - Just think, "Hey baby, wanna' see my Canon EOS D10? Grrrrrrrrrr..."

For what it's worth, I have had very good experience with Onecall (I bought my main and front Phase Technology speakers there) and would have no fear of buying a high-dollar item from them.

It sounds like a hell of a camera:

"I have no concerns in stating that as things stand (at the time of writing this review) the EOS-10D is the absolute best in class, with the best image quality, lowest high sensitivity noise, superb build quality and excellent price (not to mention the huge choice of lenses)." (From DPReview)

No. Do it!

Only because I'm jealous and would do just about anything for that camera. :p

If you really don't want to, go on eBay and try to find a good used deal?

I seem to remember when Gateway has 10% on all digital camera, including 10D.
That'll be $50 cheaper, if there is no tax.
But that is one heck of a camera. I'd say go get it.
Save on other things for a while.
For example, eat Cup Ramen for 6 months and only drink water :)

No.. I'm going to ixnay the balance on my last unpaid CC first, then I'll be 100% debt free, and can subsequently go back into debt after buying the camera. ;)

Having a g/f 900 miles away that I have to spend $300 or more on to fly out and see doesn't help.

But anyway, I recall you saying you had the macro lens and flash kit. How much did those cost? I love macro photography :)

Dump the broad, get the camera:D

The cheapest current macro lens that Canon makes is $470 or so. It's a 100mm lens that focuses down to 1:1. They still sell a 50mm, but it's an old dinosaur and needs a converter to get 1:1. They also have a 180mm macro that focuses down to 1:1, and will take their teleconverters. It's over $1000:Q There is some third party macro glass that is okay too. They make flash equipment until you run out of money.
