not to shabby... but i was so looking forward to the 500FSB club =(.

I think im ram limited at the moment. this silly corsair 6400 c5 stuff is doing ddr950 without much of a problem so i guess i cant complain... too much =D

orthos stable at 3.1... im testing 3.3 out right now. these chips are crazy 😵. and all this time i thought my sempron 3100+ was a beast

Heh, dual-core goodness. What motherboard are you running? Have you had any problems with it at all? It's almost time for me to buy myself a Core 2 (I did say around November like 6 months ago, hehe)...

what cooling are u using?
And it seems u would be ram limited.Still 474 FSB is quite an achievement.
What mobo are u using?

e6300
gigabyte s3... same as the ds3... saved 30 bucks haha
2x1gb 6400 c5 from corsair... SPD is 5-5-5-12 or somthing of the like

im lovin in, running orthos in the background... doing blend and i can still browse, listen to music and do damn near everything like it wasnt even doing cpu stress tests lol

oh and my freezer 7 pro keeps it nice and frosty. deal of the century on these things =D sure its not polished and purty like the zalman. but it does its job and it does it well, mirror shine or none. buff the sucker up and id bet it would be even more of a monster of a cooler.

have u taken off the nb hs and replaced the thermal gunk w/ AS5? that seems to help some people eek out a few more mhz as well as placing a fan over the nb as well

Well u could try lowering the multiplier to 6x(unless u already have done that)That helps in getting higher FSb speeds. Also do what the dude above said?It can/will help. And 474FSB on gigabyte S3 is pretty impresive.

im am seriously considering that but the prospects of taking my system apart again sends shivers down my spine. im such a retard. i was going to do the Northbridge thing but when i got my parts i was so damn excited i didnt ><.... sigh....

good news is..... at 475 im Orthos stable at 12 hours now... DDR 950 hehe, i think its lookin good =D

Thats probably because Orthus has a low thread priority value set, not because you are running a dual core C2D. If it was set at 1, then you pretty much wouldn't be able to do anything.

I can boot into windows at 480fsb but cannot get 490fsb to boot...I can get 490 to run superpi in windows using easytune, but 500 rebooted and 500fsbn was the one rare time I had to clear the cmos to continue....

i am running gskill 4-4-4-12 2.1v pc6400 st 960ddr cas 5-5-5-15....I have it at 2.2v though
