Gah, why am I going crazy about college?

Why do college admissions suck so much? I applied early to Middlebury, and I'm supposed to get my decision on Dec. 10. I'm freaking out though so much. Any tips to get my mind off of it? I'm desperate.

ignore the mailbox . . .

seriously . . . like if you have a back door to your place and can avoid your mailbox, do it . . .

just dont check it until the 10th

Yea, but its not only that. I'm checking like college chances forums, almost as obsessively as i check ATOT. i need a 12 step program or something.

What really throws you for a loop is when you get a small letter in the mail only to find out its an acceptance. Those bast@rds need to stick to a common format for all colleges.

I was thinking about applying to some part-time law programs and I became obsessed with forums dedicated to law schools and wondering where I would go. I just stopped caring and life is much better 🙂

Admissions are the easy part. Try taking classes when there are more students than seats, and try switching degrees. Now THAT is a pain.

I used to be like you. I was a total wannabe elitist. I got my wish. 😕

In the end, a decade later after you graduate and experience, you'll realize that it really doesn't matter where you go to school (as long as it's not a for-profit Heald-type schools. 😉 )

Go to a school that won't financially burden you with loans. Middlebury is a good school but expensive. Bank on scholarships or grants from them or else my advice is to look elsewhere at a good state school.

Get good grades at any college and major in a marketable major (engineering is the best) and you'll write your own ticket--regardless of school name!!

You're not freaking out as much as I *should* be, I haven't applied yet.

Edit: Thanks for motivating me. I applied online tonight.

You only spent 1 night to apply for college?

I just came back from 3 days of interviews.
Except I had 2 interviews, and those were on the first day.
I spent the next 2 waiting around 🙁
Apparently they send out notices in time for X-mas 🙁
Great present if it's a rejection.
