gah, thinking about going back to XP

Been using Vista Biz for a few months. No problems with it I guess. Current rig is an x2 3800, 2GB ram, 8800GT, biostar mobo.

Upgrading tonight to an e2140(going to OC it as much as possible) and abit ip35 e and am thinking of going back to xp.

I know Vista will run fine with my rig but with xp I won't have any slowdowns. I can't decide🙁

I use a 2GB memory stick for readyboost. Was curious how much that really helps? I was looking for comparisons with Crysis in terms of which OS to use.

I don't know why I'm second guessing=/

Comments or suggestions?

With only 2GB of RAM, and a slow (for Vista) CPU, I'd stick with XP. News suggests that XP SP3 is 10% faster than SP2 even, so you're in for a boost.

A lot of beta testers have said they did not notice any major speed increase,so don't read too much into that, personally I hope they scrap XP soon as possible, lay an old dog to rest.

DP you have a similar spec to my PC(I do have 4GB of ram however but only 7800 gt card) also same cpu, its more then fine and I don't get any slowdowns(nothing is overclocked on my rig).

Have you tried turning off real time scan on Windows Defender(I set mine to scan once a week).
