Thats EXACTLY how mine was

Assuming the slit was not big enough to remove the processor, it's probably caused by the warehouse guy cutting open the brown shipping box with a box cutter.

Nope it was the PERFECT size to slide the little "self contained" CPU bubble out of the bigger bubble (and put it back in for that matter)
