GAH! New System and XP stopped working!

Here's the rig:
P4C 2.8g
Asus P4P800 Deluxe
Corsair XMS3200CT 1g
Geforce 2 GTS
M-Audio Revolution
WD Raptor

I installed xp pro fine and even did all the updates. On this last restart i installed a viewsonic monitor driver and windows MC9. it asked to restart and after the XP boot screen it just sat at a black screen for about 3 minutes, then the welcome screen popped up. So I logged in and it sat on that screen . . . still there. I also tried to boot into last known good configuration, and safe mode, all to no avail. I'm suspecting that the installation got corrupted somehow, or the raptor died . . . Please help.

start--programs--accessories--system tools--system restore...your best friend with XP, check it out 🙂
