I'm sure we'll calculate and recalculate the data, so if by the year 2028 or so the odds have dropped to 10:1, i'll start worrying.

Except they forgot to account for (fill in here) and now it's going to hit in 29days, er, hours...

Good thing we have that microwave beam in orbit to slow it down a bit and get earth warmed up again afterwards.
