Gah almost clipped a guy today

I went to my parents for the weekend. This morning I had a dentist appointment and took their Ford Excursion. The roads are icy as hell here in Ontario Canada.

The thing I hate about SUVs is that you can't really tell how fast you are going. When you are that high up, going 50 feels like you are going 30 so you really have to watch the speedometer for an accurate reading. Or you can just drive an SUV all the time (which I don't, because I don't live with them).

I was coming up on a stop sign (roads are icy as hell), started to slow down (thought I was going about 20-30 but was going much faster) and kept rolling and rolling and rolling... felt like my heart was going to explode heh.

The guy going across the intersection was driving a little econobox of some sort. Judging by the expression on his face he must have thought he was going to die. I cranked it to the right and just swiped a snowbank which had enough to slow me down and avoid clipping him.

Drive slow and safe 😀

by clipping you mean t-boned

'Boning' someone has such a bad connotation, but yes I almost t-boned him 😱:Q

why "Boning" someone doesnt necessarily mean that they are going to like it, such as plowing over a econobox in a 12 passenger tank

heh

I would say I almost hit the back end of the car though as he was that far past by the time I would have hit... t-bone wouldn't have been very accurate. Or does t-bone mean you even have to hit them around the middle? Perhaps t-bone just means any perpendicular hit?

I dont know I think its any perpendicular hit, I guess you can leave that up to the person to decide though. Next time I get into an accident, Ill ask the guy while hes on his deathbed if he thought he just got t-boned.

That would have sucked. Definitely need to be careful on those icey roads.
