go to drive home and the little blinking light comes on the dash

keep going

1 mile later the temp gauge starts climbing. oh oh no

stop in the middle of the road, pour the reminants of water bottles from the car into the overflow (which looks pretty empty)

drive another mile to a grocery store and buy 2 gallons of distilled water

when i pour the first gallon in, i notice water running out from under the car :(

so then i know i am screwed/hole in something important

so i fill it up fast, jump in and drive it back to work. at least it will be safe in the parking lot at work.

i'll have to find the hole tomorrow and duct tape it as best i can to drive it to my mechanic

my old cars are needing some repairs

hmmm, i heard something about a raw egg to fix it... but maybe it's for the radiator itself.

you idiot

stopping and leaving it in the middle of the road wouldn't be so good

it has done that before, i forget why. but this time, it really meant it was low on coolant

oh well, i got it to safety without blowing up the engine

me and my buddy checked it out

when i pour water in the reservior , it doesn't drip out of the hoses or the radiator, it is coming out somewhere back from the radiator, like under the engine

near where the water pump ought to be

so we think the water pump either cracked or seals blew

i am not going to drive it. i am going to get one of those uhaul dollies and tow it to my mechanic

we pulled it with his truck to his truck. that wasn't fun

left it at his house on monday and he replaced the water pump and serpantine belt

he wouldn't let me pay for any labor, only parts. he is a good guy!

he even drove it back to my house today. i have worked 12-14 hour days at work this week, so i couldn't even help fix it
