damn when i bought this card i thought that it would still be able to kick up some decent frames but i saw some benches of BF2 and damn it got rocked, now i feel kinda feeble buying this card and saving the $100, i shoulda spent the extra 100 and gotten a 6800GT, damn even @ 1280x1024 it gets beat by the 6800GT by at least 10fps with medium settings

i do not know what wrong but i have my BF2 demo set to High everything with 1152x864 no AA and the same is very playable on my 128MB 9800 Pro. You should have no problem with the game what CPU power do you have? How much ram?

everywhere ive read said that at least 1gig ram is a must which i have and i have a athlon 64 3000+ @ 2250GHz and a bfg 6800nu. i just dont want to have to play it at crappy settings cus of my video card when it arrives today. i was thinking i might get another 512 just for this game, i wonder if anybody has noticed a difference in this game with more ram cus the benches i saw didnt see much benefit from over 1GB just more than 512

If you only have 512 ram that is definitely your problem.

BattleField 2 pulls over 1100MB's from my system..

Well, my computer is basically exactly like yours

the 3000+ at 2250, 1Gb ram, and a 6800NU with the 6th shader unlocked

I run 1280x960 everything on high, no AA

It wont be much of an FPS gain with more ram, but stuttering, map loading times, and smoothness of the game will all be much better
