Bye bye Mitch.
Oh, he’ll still be hanging around. In his cave.
Bye bye Mitch.
A bit under the news right now, but NBC has called the run for Ossoff. D's take the Senate.
Cave? I thought rats preferred the sewer systems.Oh, he’ll still be hanging around. In his cave.
That's urban anywhere. Hell, I wouldn't live in this state if the eastern politicians controlled it. That's the real divide that's going on.URBAN Georgia.
URBAN Georgia.
No, it wasn't only fucking urban GA, asswipe. In this case, since both senate candidates were voted upon by anyone that voted, you should thank every damned Democrat that voted since it was the accumulated Dem. votes that won. Whether from DeKalb Co. or Hart Co. or any other, Dems. voted in numbers sufficient to elect both Dem. senatorial candidates. Sure, the urban Dems. did indeed help, but without the hundreds of thousands of Dems. who voted in those blood red counties, the urban Dems. would have lost. Period.
This is true, all votes matter.
King and Sanders won't side with the GOP.I don't get how 48D, 2I, 50R equals a D Majority, even given the VP being a D. There is no guarantee how the Is will vote which could only mean 49 D votes to 52 others.
Yes, I see this note on NPR:
"Notes: The two independents in the Senate caucus with Democrats. Incoming Vice President Kamala Harris will be able to break any 50-50 ties in the Democrats' favor."
Is this really that hard to understand? Do you know what caucusing is? Do you realize that one of those two liberals damn near won the Democratic nomination for presidency?I don't get how 48D, 2I, 50R equals a D Majority, even given the VP being a D. Even if they do, 50/50 gives neither side the Majority for daily business. The VP only comes into play if there's a tie vote.

Yep, in her case, she will probably get a workout. Hope Manchin doesn't try the old Robert Byrd West Virginia King maker role. Didn't they get enough pork all ready. Oh, that's right, they've got nothing else if they don't have coal.Expect that often.
This is the important thing, Mitch is no longer Majority Leader. That is THE win. That's Angus King & Bernie Sanders. Dems now control the agenda, what actually gets voted on. McConnell doesn't get to be the grim reaper.
THE win would have been him being voted out. The rednecks of KY failed the US there. This is the important thing, Mitch is no longer Majority Leader. That is THE win.
That would have been a better win for sure, but making him minority leader is still massive in terms of what Democrats can accomplish nowTHE win would have been him being voted out. The rednecks of KY failed the US there.

Yep, I too am thrilled that rational Georgians prevailed and have proven me wrong.
They did it. Dems just drop kicked that turtle out of his seat of power. FINALLY.
Grats America, and thank you Georgia.
I'll take credit for it, y'all are welcome.Thank you, GA. Reminds me of how Atlanta felt when I went to technical school there oh so many moons ago. Jimmy was even Gov. And thank you my black brothers and sisters, the Democratic party now owes you big time.
