Has anyone out there tried DDR3 ram on this board? how is it working?
any improvement over DDR2 800 that you notice?
they have a sale right now at FRY's and I am trying to decide if i should get 4gigs of 2x2gb DDR2 1066 ram (Cas 5) or 4 gigs of 2x2gb DDR3 1333 ram(cas 9), they selling both kits for the same price.

You can't run DDR3 and DDR2 in the board at the same time.

i have the p35c board, it supports both ddr2 and ddr3. i am aware that you can't use both at the same time. but they have a sale right now at Fry's and i'm trying to figure out if ddr3 1333 cas 9 is better than ddr2 1066 cas 5.
couple of articles i read said no but they were old as hell, anybody have any more current articles?

I don't think it is. Anyway, why not get the ddr2 for 8GB of RAM?

1. I have 32 bit windows xp so I can't even use the full 4 gb
2. Fry's is selling both 4gb kits for the same price.
3. the p35c-ds3r board supports both ddr2 1066 and ddr3 1333 so i can use either one.
4. 60 bucks for a little more bandwidth and extra ram doesn't sound too bad.
5. all i'm looking for here is some clarity into which is the best one to get for real world gaming performance.
