gigabyte made serveral revisions of its' P35 boards.
right now, GA-P35-DS4 exists as revision 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0.
the only difference between 1.0 and 1.1 I've managed to find is a lot smaller heat-pipe. both north-bridge part and near-exhaust-fan part are smaller.
difference between revision 1.1 and 2.0 is different back panel (I don't care about that), but there is different (less) mobo printout near the CPU and there are visualy different capacitor all over the board. instead of red capacitors, there are some violet.
so, are all those changes (smaller heatsinks, less printed mobo, violet capacitors) for better, for some kind of improvement, or it's just the way to cut manufacturing costs down? :|
should I search/wait for some rev 2.0 DS4 board or I should try to find good old rev 1.0 ?
rev 1.0
rev 1.1
rev 2.0
