GA P35 DS3L problems

🙁 Put together my new rig as follows
p35 ds3l Rev 2
e4400 with artic freeze hsf
2 gb ocz ram
Antec earthwatts 430watt psu
Radeon 800 pro (from old comp)
80 gb wd ide hdd
lite on dvd/cdrw combo drive ide

Put everything together it started up but when I tried to oc using the settings recommended in the forums it would not hold settings. It would just double post and go to default settings. I just installed Supreme Commander and now it just gets to the screen where it says windows and then restarts. Do you think I may have one of the bad motherboards that others have posted about. Any suggestions Thanks
 
I had those problems. Here's one thread about it. I was ready to send my board back, but for the past week it's been working fine. Several people have had the same thing, where the board may work ok when you first get it, then the overclocking problems occur, then they go away. I wish we could find out what causes it, but apparently Gigabyte doesn't even know why it happens.

You can try all the fixes in the thread. They never helped me. I'd suggest unplugging the system from the mains, remove the battery and leave it sit as long as possible (at least over night). Praying, crossing fingers and finding another hobby for a while also seemed to help with mine 🙂
