GA-M57SLI-S4 Rev 2.0 Motherboard Problems

Hello Everyone.

first things first here is my configuration:

AMD X2 4200+
GA-M57SLI-S4 Rev 2.0 Gigabyte motherboard BIOS FDb
3GB ( 2x 1GB Crucial 800mhz Ram and 2x512mb)
2 X XFX 7900GS XXX Edition in SLI
500GB WD Sata Drive
550W PS with plenty on 12v rails to support the two cards.

Problem: The system freezes in SLI on resolution change. anything from Youtube full screen view to entering games or applications that alter the resolution. black screen no BSOD or Error. Restart only to resolve.

I hope you guys can help me.

Have you tried using just one of the 7900GS's in the system to see if that fixes it? SL sometimes have little quarks like this.
