GA-K8NSC-939 won't boot 4x512

I recently wanted to add 2 more sticks of ram to my system. I currently have 2x512 installed AMPO memory. I received 2x512 Kingston Hyper-X.

Either pair runs fine separately. If I put both in the system it fails to boot, it always gets stuck on the screen with the message "Detecting RAID" . Why this is I do not know. I do not have RAID and both RAID features are disabled in BIOS. It occurs regardless of which slots I put the memory in.

Any ideas?

followup.

Putting 4x512 of Kingston Hyper-X did not solve the problem.

What solved the problem is actually ENABLING both the GiGa-RAID and Nvdia RAID features. Go figure. If they are disabled and all memory slots are filled the system will lock at "Detecting Array".
