GA-K8NS Ethernet problems

I have a K8NS, everything is great and works so far (haven't tried the SATA), but have a very annoying problem with the ethernet. Sometimes, it disconnects and reconnects for no apparent reason. This hapens with any application, even firefox as well as azeurus and mirc. It affects all applications that use the network, I.E. I have to hit enter several times in firefox before it loads a page, it slows down azeurus, and most annoyingly, it causes DDC transfers to time out in Mirc. It used to pause for about 4 seconds, until I set the disabled autonegoiate and forced 100MBs full duplex. Now it disconnects and reconnects so fast that you can miss the bubble that pops up saying no network connection if you blink. I know my router, a DI-604, supports this mode of operation, because a realtek 8139 based D-link card I'm using now in the same machine works flawlessly when set to this mode. This is with the same cable and port on the router, so that is not the issue either. I'm running Windows xp sp2 with Nvidia UDP 5.10, with F7 bios, using static IPs on the lan side of the network, with no IP conflicts of course, and this behavior occurs when stock or overclocked. Could anyone point out anything I might do to negate this behavior, or have a similiar experience? Thanks in advance!
