GA-K8NF-9 SATA Problem

Hey,
I recently put together a new machine with the Gigabye K8NF-9 board and a SATA hard drive, I went to install windows and I'm now getting a message saying "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer." I read another thread on these forums saying that you have to go through some extra set-up or disable RAID for the disk to be recognized. The problem is, for some reason when setup is running and I press F6 nothing happens. On my microsoft keyboard none of the function keys would work. I plugged in an Apple keyboard and I could use F3 to quit the setup and I could use F10 to quit BIOS and all that, but there was still no response when I tried to hit F6 during setup. Can anyone give me some help with these issues? Obviously the hard drive issue is more pressing, but any advice at all would be appreciated.

A bunch of changes in BIOS...I guess one of them worked...switched boot priority, disabled all RAID...I also checked and tightened the wiring to the HD (power and data)...something in there did it 🙂
