I just downloaded and installed the latest version of BIOS (F4) for my mobo (GA-K8NF-9)
from the official site, flushed it using @BIOS, all went well... Anyway, they say at the site,
that I should load 'optimized settings' at BIOS when it loads for the first time - and stupid me did that, that was a big error, since now I had to deal with all the crap I had to go through when first configuring the mobo.
suppose that's over now (it's not I still have a couple of settings to change), anyway, when windows loaded I was amazed to find, that I have a floppy drive A!!!
I don't know how the hell this has happend, and I can't make it disapear...
Anyone encountered this issue before? And did any of you notice any performance gains? (maybe I should have asked it before flushing...)
btw, I also had a BSOD once since I flushed, but for now it didn't reoccur...
ideas/suggestions/stuff...?

Edit: obviously I don't actually have a physicall floppy drive...

Have you looked through all of the BIOs settings to disable everything related to the floppy drive controller and floppy drives in general?

I don't know... it says they updated the cpu code or whatever... I see no difference so far, other than that annoyance with the floppy.
