So I've got a weird one. Just built a new computer for my sister. Everything worked fine and she was one happy camper. Then someone came over to fix something and turned the power to the house out. When the power came back on, the BIOS settings had been lost.

Weird that a MB that is less than two months old will have the battery dead. No biggie. Get a replacement and plug it in. Reset the BIOS, everything boots fine. Shut down, pull the power (turn off the power supply). Wait. Turn everything back on and boot. BIOS settings lost. So get another new battery and try everything again. Still won't hold the BIOS settings.

Not sure what is going on here. Never ran up against that one before. Anyone out there have a GA-H97N-WiFi that has a similar issue?

I've done some more testing. I can take a new battery, measure the voltage (3.1-3.2v) put it in the board. Turn the power supply off. Wait for a minute or so. Turn the power supply back on. Take the battery out. Measure the voltage and it will have dropped to 2.7-2.8v. If It seems like the pins on the positive and minus could be reversed on the MB. It is the only thing that I can think of that would drain the battery so fast.
