I'm fixing a computer for a friend that doesn't play games. She just wants her computer to work basically, it was an HP but the board died so I replaced the board and case and now I'm in a snag. No video signal whatsoever is coming off this board. I hear the HDD spin and boot, no error beeps. I've tried the onboard, as well as a pci geforce 4 mx440 and still no dice. I have a gtx 260 I can toss in there just to see if it boots, but the power supply I'm using is only 300w and i'm not sure it will even boot at all.

Any suggestions?

PS: I'm using the hard drive out of the HP just like it was. I tried it in my own machine and it booted right up without any driver issues so that can't be it.

Possibly stupid idea: Are you sure the monitor is working?

So, this is a brand new board? Maybe the old board isn't dead and something else is causing the problem?

Have you checked the 4-pin CPU power plug? Made sure no extra standoffs in the HP case that might be shorting out the mobo?

That is tough...i would say its either the PSU(as Zap mentioned) or the MOBO came bad, i would RMA it.
