GA-EP45-UD3R OS install problem

So, i been going at this for over 3+ hours and no go. Windows will not install on my SATA drive. Vista gets stuck @ the screen after loading setup files and xp sp1 gives an error after it starts installing.

It installs fine on a IDe drive. I never heard of VISTA or SP1+ Xp needing sata drivers to work properly.

Anyone have an idea?

Update. Vista on the IDE drive can browse the Sata drive with no problems in windows.

However if i start the vista install with the sata drive it just hangs at 1 screen =[ WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Think im just going to return this POS as defective. I believe someone brought it back. Drove 1 hour to the tigerdirect main warehouse for nothing.

I have the same MB and installed WXP Pro w/no issues. Make sure your SATA is enabled in the BIOS and is listed as your 1st boot device.
