Recently posted in computer help about serious lagging with a new quadcore 9650 3.0 ghz build. Original Post

It was suggested DPC Latency was the problem. I had never heard of this, and checking out Anand's new review of the board hereUD3P Review no DPC problems they show no DPC latency issues with dual Asus HD 4870 1g. (maxium of 198.)

I had reused old videocards on my build, a 9500GT and an 8600GT to drive 3 monitors (no gaming and not interested in crossfire or sli). After posting, I downloaded DPC latency checker and got this. DPC Latency 90,000
Shortly after that screenshot was taken started getting routine spikes over 100,000.

I tested each card individually in the primary PCIexpress slot and they reach Absolute Maxiums DPC Latencies of 3-10k.

I am now working under the assumption that the DPC is the cause of my lagging problems, and they are caused by the mobo not liking the video cards I own. Please correct me if I am wrong.(Trying to fix this problem I have gone from an e5200 to q9650, 430w power supply to 610w, 2 different sets of ram which all memtested fine, reinstallation of windows etc......)

My question is this fixable and/or will nvidia graphic cards work with this motherboard? Do I need ati cards on this board?

MSI, the maker of both the 9500Gt and 8600Gt, say it is a motherboard bios issue and not their concern. Gigabyte doesn't really like to answer my questions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
