I just purchased a GA-EP45-DS4P motherboard. When I went to plug a fan to the System 1 fan 3-pin connector the BIOS and Easy Tune 6 did not report the speed. I then tried another system fan connector same thing. If I plug it into the CPU or PWR Fan connector then it reports 1700 RPM. I contacted Gigabyte and here was there response.
Answer : there are no sensor on easy tune to monitor all the system fan
Which is not true, Easy Tune has 2 of the 3 system fan speeds along with the BIOS.
My question is does anyone else have this problem? Should I RMA the board? I am a little hesitant because I managed to get memtest86 to run for 8 hours with 8GB of memory at 1066MHz which I understand is hard to do. I don't really want to trade a MB that can run 4 DIMMS at 1066 for 2 system fan sensors. BTW SpeedFan does not run properly with the chipset. I D/L 4.35 Beta 21 and it started to recognize some of the sensors, but the voltages and fan speeds are way off.
