Bit of a newbie to this but here goes
If I buy a GA-EP45-DS3 and install an E0 stepped WOlfdale E8400 on it, will it support it and post regardless of BIOS version?
I ask this because the F6 version BIOS says "Update CPU ID (Support Intel Wolfdale/Yorkfield E0-stepping CPU)"
1. Does that mean anything before F6 won't run a Wolfdale at all, or will it be able to boot and then i can reflash BIOS to newer version?
2. Will the Mobo come with a newer than F6 BIOS? (F6 updated 2008/07/07)
3. If it doesn't come with newer than F6, should i reflash BIOS to newer version before installing windows?
Any other info on this simple stuff and about BIOS would be appreciated with any sources.
