GA-EP45-DS3: Choice of RAM?

Now I've upgraded my board to a GA-EP45-DS3, I plan in the next couple weeks to upgrade CPU and Ram.
Cpu is fine, as I'm getting a E8500, but I'm concerned about Ram compatibility.
I'd prefer Corsair PC8500 2x2G, but it's too dear.
OCZ Platinum, I'm also interested in (PC8500 2x2)
G.Skill PC8500 2x2G was my next pick, but I'm hearing about issues with the P45 chipset.
So, I'm wondering how the Patriot Viper PC8500 2x2G would go with the GA-EP45-DS3?
Bearing in mind, my FSB will be 450plus.
I know that only takes the 1066 ram to 900Mhz, but I'd prefer to get the timings as low as possible,
unless someone tells me that 5:6 (which will give 1080) is going to be quicker and easier to keep stable.
Hope that makes sense.
