GA-EP35C-DS3R problem

Those familiar with the board should know of the 6 LEDs that are at the top edge of the mobo. I went to go check my PC this morning and found that it was off. After looking closely at it I smelled that familiar stench. Now I am wondering if it's the mobo or another component.

I've tested the power supply and that's good. I went to hook it back into the mobo and as soon as I applied power I smelled the smoke and those 6 LEDs were flashing in a random pattern. Also noted that 2 LEDs on my 4850 were flashing in time with the other LEDs. Knowing that the power supply is good, what should I do next in my troubleshooting? I do not have access to another Intel board FYI.
