GA-EP35-DS3R Chipset HC Hot To Touch

I finally got my Q9450 in, and just got my GA-EP35-DS3R system up and running. While I was removing the Fantastically designed fan wires from my Intel Heatsync/Fan, I noticed the chipset heatsync is very hot. I can't touch it from more then a sec without burning my finger. Is this normal?

Stock voltages? I guess it's possible with a Q9xxx.

Yea its stock voltages. The Q9450's heatsync isn't hot to the touch at all.
