I guess the question really is, 9400 vs 4500HD, both the boards seem to suit my needs, but I hear that the 9400's have better Audio (or rather implement the functions on the chip better.) too.


What video is going to be better? I would think the Nvidia, but would like consensus.

The new 9400 allows for 8-channel LPCM (TrueHD, DTS-HD) over HDMI, and the chipset is good for HD processing as well.

I wouldn't go with any other solution right now... I plan to use the GIGABYTE GA-E7AUM-DS2H myself.

Better yet, an old Aopen motherboard with Sovtek Vacuum Tubes, Cardas Cable, and the whole audiophile 9 yards built right in.
