GA-B75M-HD3 Audio Issues

Welcome to the forums LilSumac. what OS are you using.if its 7 64bit.or 8. then the driver is R2.70.you mention the back.Turtle Beaches X11 (USB, Green/Pink 3.5mm jacks plugged into BACK PANEL)do you get sound from the speakers.if the front is enable and no sounds is coming out.could be the front Jack from your case.

Do the Windows 7 Optional Driver Updates for your sound. It's a driver problem that the update should take care of.

In Device Manager, is there anything listed under "other devices?"

How many ports have you tried the headphones on?

Also, I know you have been through Realtek options quite a bit, but what do you see in the "Sound" options in the control panel on the Playback tab?

.... In the Realtek Audio Manager?

No.
Go to the Control Panel in Windows.
Click on "Sound."
First look under the playback tab and tell us what is listed.
You should see at least one device with a green checkmark.

Can you tell us what it is?

While you are in there, you may want to look at the options for that device (make sure volume is not at zero and a mute button is not enabled.

Also, are you using audio connections on the board to route sound to any jacks on the front/ top of the case?

Not sure what you mean... The connections from the mobo to the front jacks is secure and working as far as I know, but the problem persists even when I use the on-board jacks in the back.

Which case plugs are you using? If you look on page 19 of the manual, you should be able to see what I am talking about. Are you using an HD Audio audio connector, or an AC97 audio connector (it should say on the plug)?

Have you done anything in the BIOS since you had the machine? You may want to look in there and make sure the audio options are enabled.

I know it doesn't make sense that any of this should matter as you were only doing software-related things to it, but it could very well end up helping us help you.

I know when my powersupply burned out it took out mobo, audio chip was one of first affected with similar issues, how old is ur power supply, and do u have any power supply high pitch noise when u turn off the computer? But your probblem could be totally unrelated..

Unfortunately, I don't have any manuals anymore, since I bought this rig from a friend. I do, however, know the difference between the two. Should I just take a look inside and check the pin setup to see?

Also, I did reset the BIOS at one point. However, the one audio option I can find under the peripherals tab is set to 'Enabled' or 'Auto' or whatever. When I switch to the other setting, it doesn't even give me static, so I think that's okay.

You can find your manual the same place I did:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4389#manual
I also see only the one setting, so as long as it is not Disabled, you are good there.
Would you happen to have a paid of speakers you can give it a test with?
